  • Third Sex: A 1930s Transvestite Lieder

    09.20.24

    Book Culture LIC

    Long Island City, NY

THIRD SEX: 1930's transvestite lieder is a found text song-cycle/punk cabaret based on the short stories, articles, poems, and personal essays of Das 3. Geschlecht, a transvestite magazine published in five issues from 1930-1932 in Berlin before n*zis burned its publishing house to the ground. The magazine was largely thought to be lost until it was rediscovered and reprinted in 2016. THIRD SEX brings these forgotten trans and queer narratives to life through an eclectic score inspired by the punk and experimental electronic scenes of the last 90 years while examining the queer experiences of the past, present, and future through our vivacious stories of survival. Composed by Adam J. Rineer.

  • Mxcast Cabaret

    05.10.24

    The Green Room 42

    New York City, NY

In light of the more mainstream “Broadway Backwards” and MCC’S “Miscast Cabaret”, it’s time to express that the ‘miscast’ cabaret is obsolete. Mxcast is a celebration of the expansiveness of identity within the musical theatre canon; an updated version of your classic Miscast Cabaret. Featuring numbers from beloved Broadway musicals, new works, and original songs, this concert is here to show the world that trans voices are not only suitable for the theatrical canon, but that trans characters are deserving of love stories and happily ever afters. Produced by Ezra Noel.

  • Xena: Warrior Musical

    09.21.22 - 09.25.22

    3 Dollar Bill

    Brooklyn, NY

Did someone ask for a musical rock show about Xena? We received your dreams and have made them come vividly true. Xena: Warrior Musical is a full-length Broadway-quality production coming to you at a Bushwick dance club. This isn't your typical "please be seated and do nothing" theatrical performance. This is Xena and Gabrielle, Amazons and Warlords, Mortals and Immortals singing their hearts out while you hoot and holler with your party friends as guitars shred sick riffs. You’ll be charmed by the campy humor and you’ll love the juicy romantic tension between Xena and Gabrielle even more. As one fan aptly described it: "It's like Rocky Horror that makes you cry.” If that excites you, whether you know the original TV show or not, this is not a show to miss! Catch Ezra in this world premiere cast!
